Argyle

Argyle is a vampire action-fantasy novel by Western Australia author Martin J King.

The world thought it had eradicated the vampire race 12 years ago, but they were wrong. Now, somehow, the vampires are well and truly back.

The story centres on Narelle and her daughter Kaelyn, who join a growing group of survivors fleeing the suburbs of Perth for the safety of the abandoned army camp at Lake Argyle.

Kaelyn is no ordinary little girl. She can tell if someone is a vampire and sense when vampires are close.

But the vampires can sense her too, they want her, and follow the band of humans to Lake Argyle to get her.

The vampires are ruthless, ferocious, and intelligent. There's plenty of action, but King doesn't loose sight of his human characters. They are well developed, varied and relatable. The plot is well paced and easy to get caught up in.
