Nikki Slade Robinson

Nikki Slade Robinson is an award-winning author/illustrator.

She has worked with many publishers, and illustrates both her own stories and those of other authors. She also illustrates commercially.

Her book ‘The little Kiwi’s Matariki’ won Best Picture Book 2016 in the NZ Book Awards for Children and Young Adults.

‘Muddle & Mo’ gained a Storylines Notable Book Award in 2016. ’The Seven Stars of Matariki’ by Toni Rolleston-Cummins, and illustrated by Nikki, was also awarded Storylines Notable Book Award, and her illustrations were Highly Commended in the Sir Julius Vogel Awards. Some of her titles have subsequently been picked up by overseas publishers.

She has a wide range of illustrative styles, from traditional to digital.

Nikki works from home in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, surrounded by family and plenty of assorted animals.
