Aśka

Aśka is an "illustrator, scientist, and adventurer," living and creating in Perth, Western Australia.

"I am curious about the wonderfully rich world around us, and love to explore it through my characters and illustrations.”

After making the switch from quantum physics to illustration, Aśka has been involved in loads of amazing projects!

She has co-founded an alternative comic book duo called Ask Dr Wang, worked as a freelance illustrator doing graphics for local music bands, festivals and community events, delved into animating short films, and coded and created her own e-book called The Three Sisters.

She has also illustrated books and other projects including Looking Up and The Cosmic Adventures of Alice and Bob, a comic book aimed at exciting young minds about science research, the wonders of the universe, and encouraging them not to give up.

"I love to combine my diverse skills, experiences and interests to facilitate new creative projects. The challenge of telling a story, generating smiles and laughter, and inspiring others with science and art is the ultimate reward."
